This appeared on Google cards and sounded good and boy it was! The perfect place to finish our day. Cold beer and delicious food! We split a rib. Waitress was friendly and friendly and made Indiana Folks feel welcome. Very recommended!!
This place should be a local landmark. It is a great local success story. It is a small restaurant with limited seating, so get there early. It has a small bar, a pool table and a jukebox. I have eaten there several times over a period of thirty years. The service is great, the food served hot, and the steak ingenious. The steaks are at market prices. Steaks are huge and cut from choice beef. They're fired. YUM! Price with the premier steakhouses. But let me say they're the most important steak house in the area. You have other menu items, but if you are looking for a big steak, this is the place. Take your appetite. They serve up to a 24 ounce rib. My date had the 8 ounce of fillet. Both served baked potatoes or frits and salad.
Our family ordered a variety of dinner ribeye, fillet and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked after our orders. The service was a little slower than normal tonight. But I'm worried they won't be shortened. Your team was friendly, worked hard, as attentive as possible, and there is a posted sign that they are looking for servers, full-time or part-time. This is a GREAT restaurant that I highly recommend. Some of the best steaks in town and a relaxed, casual, hole-in-the-wall type of space.
The best steaks in town! Love all the staff! They work hard and give us the best service! But really all food is excellent!!
We went to an expensive chain restaurant the other night for steak. It was bad. The I realized, after all these years, Lone Star was still open. Amazingly good steak, cooked perfect. Salad always spot on and homemade blue cheese delicious. So we went back the following Wednesday for Prime Rib night. Not only was it a great price (well under 30$ but was the best I've had in years. The cobbler and banana pudding are worth mentioning as well. Unassuming place just 14 minutes from downtown. On Claud hwy between Ross/Osage and Washington. French dip is great too. Jalapeño poppers could be better, wings need sauce choices, but I go here for steak, or for a bargain quesadilla.
