Then when I saw she was winding up for a second sneeze I made the mistake of looking and watched a huge snot rocket exit her nose. This is in an environment around food and drink. And she is the only one working so you get to have your food served by someone who hasn't washed their hands after sneezing. It's really unfortunate because other people who work here don't have the same utter lack of concern for food safety.
I'm usually not a fan of airport food anything because the prices seem to be higher since they're past the security gate. But on this trip I was stuck in the airport due to weather. I went to the Radar or maybe Turbo bar. Couldn't tell due to one side of the sign saying one thing and the other saying another. I ordered a beer and a Club sandwich. I had a IPA (my go to), which calmed my nerves after being informed of three hour delay. The sandwich took 15 or 20 minutes to come out. Just a sandwich , no chips or a pickle. The sandwich was okay tasting but not worth $10. I can't say whether or not I would eat there again but if in my power I would avoid stopping here before a flight.
The worst airport bar I've ever been to hands down. They focus on everyone and everything EXCEPT the people sitting at the bar with empty drinks. What a joke. Unfortunately, this is your choice.... The only choice inside.
Imagine a place that doesn't worry about customer service or timeliness due to being the only option. Amarillo Airport take a hint and get a business that cares about your customers.
Not many options Amarillo airport 2 to be exact, but think they're both actually the same biz, since receipts for both have the same name. Limited menu at Radar Bar/Boarding Time Burritos just burritos, quesadilla and nachos, and they're all $10 (pretty pricey). Drinks are pricey, too $10 for short we'll drink. But, it's the only game in town.
