The Spotted Calf Cafe - Amber Valley

I am disappointed that the café will be closing this weekend. The menu was excellent and the food was as delicious as I could have hoped for. I hope that it reopens again soon.

After our meal, we stopped next door at the Spotted Cow for some coffee and cake. We were impressed by the variety of menu items, including vegetarian options, and we are already planning to have lunch there on our next trip to Holbrook. Despite the small size of the café, there is outdoor seating available under cover, in addition to indoor seating.

Fab breakfast here with a friend, good vegan choice and really delicious. Friendly staff and the dog loved the biscuits. I’m very local so will return soon

What a find! Had an amazing lunch with friends. Food was delivered quickly, generous portions and extremely tasty. Great friendly service. we'll definitely be back

With a heavy heart, my family and I did not have a great experience here and we really wanted to be supportive of a community owned establishment... BUT: no almond milk, they had ran out of sausages (at breakfast time, I may add , microwaved and wholly overdone eggs (like, the yolk was solid! , tasteless bacon, less than generous portions and we waited an age for the drinks and for food to arrive which then all came at different times. Some had finished eating before all the drinks came! Sorry, guys, it's not good enough, especially when the prices are no cheaper than other cafes where the overall experience is massively better.
