Rußwurmhaus - Amberg

I ordered a T-bone steak and it showed up charred and burnt. Waitress was nice and attentive and the atmosphere was great. Very pricey for subpar food.

This is a great restaurant tucked away by the western side of the church, just across the river. It has ample outdoor seating, in a beautiful setting with tables set into a gardens worth of plants, all resting in the shadows of the church. The beer here is great. I strongly suggest the strong beer and Dunkel. If you get the strong beer it comes in an awesome mug, which you can by for 5 euro. The food is varied, not monster portions, but delicious and well plated. We all ate off each others plates and the venison, pork medallions, and pork shoulder are all great. Mine seemed a little dry, but there was ample beer sauce on my plate and when I ran the meat through it it made a perfect bite. You may not easily find this one, but it's worth the hunt. And they have English menus available if requested.

Super food, super ambience and top location. The services are very friendly and fast. Menu has a huge selection of traditional dishes. It should only be noted that the owner is often too much on the foot-gaenger strip and that the end disinfectant can be used only to a limited extent in Covid19 times.

Good bourgeois cuisine. Beautiful ambience out in beautiful weather. I can't say anything about the inside. Eating was fine. We had Schnitzel and Medallions with Spätzle. Tastefully very good and portions also sufficiently large. Extensive map. It's definitely recommended.

Old restaurant with beautiful outdoor area. Friendly service. Delicious fresh kitchen.
