Traditional public house. Quality ales, friendly staff. Outside seating area. Mind yer head when going for a pee.

Booked a table for a meal on a Saturday night. Turned up and it was closed. Speaking with locals it sounds like a common trick.

Always loved this pub and it’s now under new management. Amazing service from all staff but especially Leon. Great local beers and a free drink for my boyfriend...

Cosy atmosphere, great food quintessential lakeland pub

Really friendly service, can't recommend enough. I would recommend a pint of Lowrswater Gold. Best pub in Hawkshead, I have tried them all.

Looking forward to it re-opening. On several previous visits to Hawkshead this has constantly been the best pub in the village.

This place has closed down with no warning. We booked three nights in September and received a confirmation email. When we arrived, it was in complete darkness....

The service was a bit chaotic when we visited. Hopefully will improve. We had a drink, but decided not to eat as the we're struggling to take orders.
