We happened by this lovely place at dinner time. It is small and only has a waiter and a cook. The menu is quite manageable and the waiter spoke better English than my French! We had a glasses of wine, gallettes, ice cream...and cognac for Euros. Gallettes seem to be their specialty. The service was good, the gallettes was excellent (mine had cheese, ham, and mushrooms, while my spouse had the one with potatoes, cheese and ham) and quite large. Good, hearty meal for the price. Came with a nice little salad with a tasty vinaigrette. It was a very satisfying meal. Like many French restaurants, closes after lunch and then opens again at pm.
This restaurant is well worth the short stroll away from the tourist masses to enjoy a superb meal. A few short steps will take you to a small air conditioned restaurant with friendly English speaking staff. The meat casseroles and the dinner crepes are very...tasty.
This restaurant is in my opinion a food hazard . Three of us had meat on the stone where the meat arrived raw and we cooked the meat on the stone . The hazard was: the white and red meat arrived side by side on...the one plate. To add to this hazard the stones went cold before meat was cooked . Lastly they don’t answer their phones for bookings and the email the web site bounces back . Not sure if these people are serious about their business. Too risky for my liking . Recommend it be given a wide berth ie. Avoid
We wanted relaxed with a lighter menu, the salads were perfect, the crepes very good. A young fresh atmosphere.
