I always appreciate being able to see what I will be ordering later. ; The restaurant is beautiful and romantic. It would be PERFECT for a date night, anniversary, or Valentine 's Day. Lots of soft lighting, dark accents, and comfy chairs. Our service was great. Our server took our orders in a timely manner, kept our waters filled, and struck the perfect balance between being attentive to our needs and not hovering. She was great! Bone Marrow: I absolutely loved this. I am a marrow lover, but had never had it 'properly ' at a restaurant before. I loved it, as did everyone else. I would absolutely order this again. Today 's Bread: Delightful fresh bread with a yummy soft cheese spread. A good way to start a meal. I 've never seen bread like this before, which is almost chained. We loved it. Chicken Thighs: My husband loved this. The skin was crispy, the meat moist and flavorful. The star of this dish was the fried lemon slices though. They were light, tangy, and crispy. Just wonderful! Ham and Fig Pizza: We are STILL talking about this pizza. It tastes like Christmas and the holiday season, and was amazing. The crust was well cooked, and the flavors blend together so beautifully. I highly recommend this dish! Brussels Sprouts Salad with Steak: Perfect steak salad. The steak was a little gristly (but I actually like a little gristle on my meat but was well cooked and super tender, which made it easy to slice. The dressing adds the best amount of acid, which balances with the sweet dried cranberries. If you like steak salad, you should definitely give this one a try. Chocolate Raspberry Tart: A gorgeous balance of rich, decadent chocolate with sharp, fresh raspberry in a delicious crust. Lemon Meringue Tart: Delightfully tangy and light lemon filling in a thick crust. Perfect for ending a meal on a light note. Pumpkin Cheesecake: A slice of fall wonder. Creamy and light pumpkin cheesecake, on top of a delicious crust. The cinnamon crumble topping is amazing. Salted Caramel Cake: GORGEOUS. A thick serving of chocolate ganache on top of decadent and moist cake layers. We will definitely be back!
I've been there only once, but am craving it again after just two days. It's a beautiful building and atmosphere. The service is both timely and friendly. The Provision's Burger was great, my wife enjoyed the Salmon Sandwich, and my son thought the kid's pizza was the best pizza he's had (he devoured the entire pizza). I'm usually a bit leery when a new place opens, as it seems to take some time for everything to gel, but it seems like this place has it right already. A large group came in when we did, and it didn't seem to impact service. Everyone was able to wait at the bar area for drinks. Others chose to wait outside on benches (it was a nice evening). I'd recommend Provisions to anyone looking for a solid experience and an enjoyable evening out.
If service was how you rate a restaurant this place would get 6 stars. We met friends and all of us had a great time and the food was excellent. New food places can be easy to be hard on, but Provisions did their homework on how they train staff. We will be back for sure.
Had dinner on Friday. It was very good. Went back on Saturday with friends. Would highly recommend. Wonderful dessert.
My husband and I had two separate experiences at Provisions this weekend (we had family in town). Both experiences were amazing. The food was spot on and unique; definitely elevated in comparison to it's sister, The Cafe. When my husband and I went alone, they sat us in a cute, semi-circular booth that was perfect for conversation. We shared the Today's Bread appetizer, he had the Provisions Burger, and I had the Grilled Romaine Hearts. We finished with coffee and chocolate cheesecake. When we took the entire family (4 adults and two children) for an early supper on Sunday, they sat us in a larger booth that comfortably accommodated our party of 6 (and we easily could have added 2 more people). Our server was attentive, enthusiastic, and clearly knew the menu well. We all loved our entrees, including the kiddos. The table shared a dessert; their lemon mascarpone cake was divine! I can't wait to plan our return visit!
