Guemes Island General Store - Anacortes

On the positive side, both the Guemas Burger and Beef Dip were tasty, but again, the portions were on the smaller side. After lunch, we decided to grab waffle cones for dessert. While the ice cream was delicious, we were let down when we realized that the large waffle cone held only a single scoop on top, with nothing at the bottom. I ended up spending over $45 on lunch and dessert, a price I'd happily pay for a great meal and view. Unfortunately, I left Anderson’s feeling as though I had been overcharged and shortchanged. On the brighter side, the view was fantastic, and the staff was very friendly.

We arrived on Father's Day morning via ferry with a group of six, including two grandchildren. Unfortunately, we had the wrong ferry schedule and needed speedy service to catch the last ferry back before the lunch break. Missing it would have meant a two-hour wait with the little ones, which we wanted to avoid. The staff was incredibly accommodating and managed to serve us a delicious brunch in no time, helping us avoid a long wait for the ferry. We definitely plan to return when we have more time to enjoy the experience. Although the weather was cold and rainy, we look forward to visiting again when it's nicer outside.

Our group had a delightful evening at the General Store and Restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the entertainment was thoroughly enjoyable! We will definitely be returning!

We went up to Anacortes for a meeting decided to grab a bite to eat rather than battle the traffic on a Friday back to the city. I popped open Open Table to see what Anacortes had to offer. On this particular Friday only 4 restaurants had availability, in an unusual way decided to try Anderson’s General Store, it was solely based on the pictures as there were no reviews yet. What a great experience it was! We took a small foot Ferry over to the island $2.50 round trip, 8 min ride) a short walk to the restaurant. We sat facing the water enjoyed some amazing food, the staff was very pleasant and the view was great. This isn't a white table clothed environment, but if you are ever in the area I highly recommend trying this place out!
