I think now that their reviews could be padded by employees because something is wrong here. The first sign of trouble was when there was no one in place, including waiters. We waited a bit for the empty space and asked for a high chair. Her idea of a high chair was an old one from the 80s I suspect. It was baked with food. My daughter, who we know now, has many life-threatening allergies that sat in this place, and we can only imagine what we dropped them. Luckily nothing happened. We presented a voucher and they quickly rejected it. I can't remember the given reason, but regardless of that it wasn't valid, they even said it was from the Entertainment Book website. The food was fair, but I wonder how sanitary it was. It seems that this place is definitely family business that I would normally really enjoy, but this place just doesn't seem to be doing right. The son and mother we treated were somewhat rude. To pack the day, a table full of pure Italian men came and stared at my wife. We made it alive and not sick, but we will certainly not go back and my wife will certainly not let me ever live this restaurant choice below. Lesson learned.
While the decor is tired, the food is excellent. The calves with mushrooms had four huge, delicate portions of calf with a lush fresh mushroom and cream sauce, served over perfectly boiled pasta. The part was so generous that I left more than half. The hot, garlic cheese foccacia bread is amazing, just from the delicious Bruschetta. The prices are clearly below what one would expect for such a good Italian fare. And the wine prices are very fair. So disregard the decor and prepare to enjoy some good Italian cuisine.
A delightful culinary experience in Anaheim of all places! A lunch with a friend and was so impressed by the quality of the food... Above all, the bread sticks that do not stick at all, but light, like air focaccia seasoned with cheese and oh so tasty are placed on the table to tease your taste buds and cause you to pierce.... I ordered the lunch combination, the eggplant parmese was as light as a feather, the accompanying lasagna was delicious with exactly the right amount of Marinara. My friend had the chicken marsala, which was light and fragrant with plump sauteed mushrooms and Marsala over spaghetti. Just delicious. To round it off, we had a coffee served with the actual heavy sweet cream! Pleasant and delightful and the perfect cap for a beautiful meal. By the way, the portions are dimensional, we had left, and the prices are more than reasonable.
Don't be fooled by the stripe-mall appearance from the front. I took my mother with six other people for my birthday. I tried every record and they were all original. Subtle flavors that crawl with every bite. Italian is my favorite and I was too many in California, New York, Italy and of course, my mother. This place had a feeling of home, but a taste of a professional Italian cuisine. I loved it. After the meal, the waitress gave us a 20% card for our next visit.
This is the place for really good Italian food with more than ample servings at a modest price. You will be glad you went there.
