I have personally only been to the Vine location, where I enjoyed a savory, filling, and nutritious organic vegan meal. The food gave me lasting energy all day without the need for any additional meals. The staff were kind and offered the meal with love and kindness. I also appreciated the free samples that some booths offered.
I was in Los Angeles for a last-minute work trip and luckily my wife, who loves beer, found out about this event. The hotel only had butternut squash soup for lunch, so I was excited to see a whole list of vegan options at the event. When we arrived, the atmosphere was lively with cool vendors, beer, and fun people. I had already checked out the food options beforehand, and I knew exactly what I wanted. My first stop was Shane's tamales, where I tried the loaded tamale and it was absolutely perfect. I loved it so much that I had to get another one to take with me. Cookies Amore had amazing cookies, especially the peanut butter cookie that stayed soft and delicious even days after purchase. Plant Lab Vegan had the most realistic and delicious sushi I've had as a former sushi enthusiast. I will definitely be seeking them out whenever I'm in LA. Devi's Donut was moist, delicious, and all-around fantastic. We tried four different flavors and enjoyed each one. Vegan Playground is a fantastic concept overall and I highly recommend it!
While visiting Los Angeles, I was extremely excited to try out Vegan Playground. I ordered pizza from Secret Vegan Pizza, The Hook Up from Srey Vegan, and soup dumplings from Man Eating Plant.
Five “wings” and fries. Probably the first time something was almost too much food for me at Vegan Playground. Incredibly good. Updated from previous review on 2022-11-17
While on an impromptu work trip in LA, I was fortunate to have a female companion who loves beer and joined me for the event. Being vegetarian, I was pleased to find a variety of vegan options on the menu for lunch at the hotel. The atmosphere at the restaurant was lively, with a great selection of food, beer, and fun people. I had already checked out the menu online and knew what I wanted to try. I started off with Shane's Tamale and indulged in the loaded Tamale, which was perfectly flavored. I couldn't resist getting another one. The cookies from Cookies Amore were also exceptional. I waited six days to try the peanut butter cookie I bought and it was still soft and delicious. As a former sushi lover, I was impressed with the vegan sushi options. Devi's donuts were moist, flavorful, and simply amazing. We tried four different types and enjoyed each one. The concept of Vegan Playground is a great idea and I would definitely visit again whenever I'm in LA.
