Kim Shan Chinese Buffet - Ancaster

If your looking for a place for takeout or dining in, this may be just what your looking for. Also has a good buffet if you don't want to order off the menu. Clean venue, good food, good price.

We decided to have Chinese food and of course, we went to Kim Shan Buffet in Ancaster. It is not a huge buffet, but we love the food and the restaurant itself. The servers are so friendly and make your visit a good one. I highly recommend this place to lovers of Chinese.

The staff is always attentive. The food is kept fresh and hot and regularly restocked for the buffet. We each have our favourites in the buffet which keeps us coming back. We're here at least once a month.

Recently moved to the area. Was out running errands and decided to give it a try for lunch. It was right at lunchtime and there was one other table which should of been a tip off, but I gave it a go anyway. There were two other table there when I left. For lunch I was only given the option of ordering one of their combos. Would of been nice to have choice from the whole menu. I ordered the beef and veg, lemon chicken and rice combo. And added an egg roll. The egg roll came out very fast. A little too fast as it was still cool in the middle. Not cold enough to send back, but definitely not hot. And it also seemed like it was already cooked and they just tossed it in the deep fryer to crisp/warm it up. No real taste to it aside from the packets of sauce. Then came the combo. I will say everything was hot this time. And the veggies were fresh. But the beef was gray in color (but it didn't taste off). And there again was no taste to the sauce. At least the veg had taste and weren't overcooked. The lemon chicken was okay. Lots of sauce poured over, but again no real flavour. And I did end up with some cartilage. Eww. And then there was the rice. Now this had taste. It was a burnt taste mind you. So not appetizing at all. I would of brought everything to the attention of my server had she ever enquired how things were, but I didn't see her until I went up to pay. I may give them another try in the future, but it will be a long, long time before I get the taste of that rice out of my mind.

My friend took me for my birthday , kim's buffet is always fresh and hot and good and lots of food and not that expensive we went on Tuesday for dinner and it was 15.50 each or if you can get a couponthe the spectator better great food
