The only con for me (was not the food) was that they didn't have a lot of COVID social distancing in place. Nonetheless my party and I tried our best to social distance when we chose our seats. The bar was great and staff was very nice!
Their hours haven't changed. Still open from 05:00 until 01:00. They have a couple gluten free snacks available. Boxes of snacks available for purchase. Tea and coffee machine up and running. Several beers on tap. Wine and liquor stocked. There are usually two soups available. Today there was a broccoli cheddar and a chicken sweet potato kale soup. The current complimentary barista special is cinnamon and spice latte.
As far as Alaska lounges go this one is pretty consistent with others though I did particularly like the set up and roomy design. I had no trouble getting in with my PP and even though I was pretty close to my boarding time they graciously let me pop in for some tea and a to- go snack. There is a main room with access to the snacks and also has a lovely two sided fireplace. Then there's also a long narrow seating area with comfy chairs and a view of the tarmac. They were serving soft drinks and tea and prepackaged to-go snacks at the buffet. While it wasn't the usual impressive display, it's good to see they're so working to offer their customers something with the ever changing covid restrictions and mandates. I was able to get some tea and the prefect snack for the flight and I appreciated the great customer service.
Staff here was so sweet and amazing! Every time a patron leaved, a staff would come and disinfect the area and make sure everything was sanitized. Of course there was no hot food options because of COVID but they had some nice snacks and their espresso machine was great!
No real qualms about the Alaska Lounge because I was (surprisingly) able to use my Priority Pass to get into the lounge in early July of 2019. We must have had a weird boarding time because they weren't at capacity woohoo! Nothing really to write home about but I do love me some free food so that was nice. I absolutely love Priority Pass but I do find myself not being allowed in to other Alaska Lounges around the country (i.e, LAX). And based on the other reviews for this lounge, it would be great if Priority Pass partnered with a restaurant at Ted Stevens Airport in addition to this lounge. I suppose that's a comment for a different review but regardless, stop by the Alaska Lounge, hope for the best, but don't be surprised if they're at capacity. Update: 2/13/2020 apparently Alaska Lounges are no longer part of Priority Pass nationwide, boo!!!
