We visited most recently, to pickup dinner on a Saturday evening. We made it in before their dinner rush, thankfully. Food, flavor, quality, and portions here, remain the same. Our food came out fast, fresh, and hot. My only complaint is that my house fried rice, was really only shrimp fried rice which of course, isn 't the same. We appreciated Charlie 's ' sauce section (chili and sriracha especially). This visit, I noticed canned soda and Hawaiian sun juices were available, in addition to their fountain soda options. Not sure if they 've always had these available, but we appreciated it this time around for sure.
Love the food here. I've only been twice but everything Was amazing. The service is great. You get a buzzer and when it's ready you either pick Up to go, or to eat there if you can find a table. Our food came Up faster then what we thought We got home and we enjoyed everything we got.
I recently went to Charlie's Bakery after not having been for a few years (shame on me! and it was great. I got sesame chicken, spicy pork wontons, and a chocolate eclair. The wontons had a good amount of spice, in my opinion. The sesame chicken is perfectly sweet and crispy. The eclair was really big and delicious and not overly sweet. This is one of the best places in town for Chinese food. I plan on branching out next time and trying the crispy noodles and scallion pancakes!
Been craving Dim Sum and was told this is the only spot in town. Menu is very limited and prices were steep for what we're accustomed to. But as I just mentioned, only spot in town. We had multiple places we were eating at so we didn't order too much. The bean curds were good but at almost $12, I'm not sure. The Har Gow were big and juicy. The spicy wontons were our favorite.
Been here a few times and it is always so crowded, because it's really good! I will try to avoid the Saturday rush though, because I ended up waiting for food for almost 40 min... The food itself is very authentic. The dimsum items they offer only on Saturdays are delicious (love the sesame balls and mifen noodles). Pricing is also not bad. The buns are not the best in the area; I would get their dishes rather than their baked goods. The restaurant is pretty clean. The only downside is when they get very busy, the tables get slightly neglected and are not bused in a timely manner. They're just a little short staffed.
