I’m trying to save people the trouble of looking for this place and I didn’t know how to any other way than leaving a review.
I love an unexpected twist on commerce, some surprise curve-ball on my automaton-, zombie-role as a consumer: The theater-pub phenomenon is a brilliant recent example. I heard of a band in the Lower 48 whose first gig was in a laundromat-bar in Ohio. K-Street follows a similar trajectory, operating as a convenience store while boasting the best burrito in town and top-notch coffee drinks made with Homer 's award-winning espresso roaster. Downtown Anchorage is littered with an embarrassing glut of shops selling generic, cliche and humorless t-shirts, hats, and cheap junk trinkets all aimed at Tourists. K-Street, meanwhile, contains AK-themed treasures practical items intended for travelers and adventurers: A wall of albums by AK 's best songwriters/musicians, tasteful AK-themed wear, and last-minute gear and grub to fill out the weekend out-of-town camping trip. Located in one of the most *convenient* but unassuming locations in downtown, K Street warrants a visit whether you 're the new arrival or first-time traveler to AK 's biggest city, or you 're looking to stock up on a few thoughtful, first-rate AK-themed gifts before catching your flight out of state and back home.
Great prices and delicious food. Scratch made vegan options, delicious banana bread, and burritos and sandwiches to order. The store has everything you could ever imagine needing.
Nice staff, definetly downtown prices but hey its a convenience store!! heart of tourist city, only thing they need improving on is organizing the shop i felt i was going too knock everything over as i passed by, it just looks messy, i think itd bring in more business other than that its ok if you need coffee, snacks, quick lunch
A fantastic place downtown to grab simple but delicious food. Their main fare is made to order burritos and sandwiches, both of which have a wide array of choices available and both of which are fantastic. There are also daily soups and specials which are consistently great. All in all, the offerings are a fairly simple array but you're sure to get something that's an enjoyable lunch every time. To top it all off, the service is cheerful and polite.
