It was a quiet evening, but both the food and service were fantastic. I enjoyed the fried chicken tenders, the macaroni and cheese—which was delicious—and the squash casserole, which was perfect. They also serve some of the best rolls!

This restaurant has been a staple for ages! I used to visit with my mom about once a month over 30 years ago. It's a local favorite located in a less desirable part of town, but it’s clean, unpretentious, and welcoming. You might find a regular guy sitting in one booth next to a judge and some lawyers in another. Their "meat and three" plate is truly home-style delicious and very satisfying, and their breakfasts are just as good. For just $11.50, you can enjoy a meat and three, including a drink. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! I’m looking forward to tomato and cantaloupe season because they pair perfectly with their homemade biscuits drenched in sausage and gravy. So good! Just keep in mind that this five-star rating is based on comparisons to other meat and three restaurants, and you certainly won’t be let down!

I visited this place today for a quick meal while traveling out of town. I frequently travel across various states, and this is exactly the kind of hidden gem I search for. The food is high-quality and authentic, showcasing southern cooking at its finest. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I also had the chance to meet the owner, who was really friendly.
