Well kept real ale very fresh, local food. Between two of us we had a crab salad fresh Test Valley trout to die for. The best that I have ever tasted....
Great lunch?! Thanks Tirene......lovely staff Immaculate ladies toilet and all round a very welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
The menu is outstanding, featuring a fresh whole baked trout with chili and soy for £18, and a delicious venison burger for £15. They also offer baked new potatoes and a fresh salad, along with a variety of ales on tap, local charcuterie, and homemade cakes – all of which elevate it above most gastropubs. The interior is beautiful and full of character, complete with tasteful décor and a lovely fireplace, and the staff are exceptionally pleasant. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service was prompt and the food arrived quickly. The restaurant also boasts a lovely garden and a charming village location, along with plenty of parking.
We had our first visit to Cricketers Inn today for lunch and reserved a table for four. The ambiance was very welcoming, and the staff were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals, particularly the golden crispy batter on the fish and chips! My partner was also delighted with the king scallops. We will definitely be coming back!
