I mentioned this to the waiter, he offered us something else, but we were with a group of friends and that would have taken too long. very disappointed.
Great fine dining in angel Fire. Halibut was excellent as was the fish and chips. House wines were excellent. Nice option for AF. Our server was attentive and helpful
I must admit that I was surprised, but that was one of the best culinary experiences I had in some time. the food was perfect. started with a beet salad, moved to a filet (boiled perfectly) and packed with a apple cake / zimt eis dessert. the wee menu was extensive and impressive, although I decided for beer. the service was great and the cook checked for most tables. very favorable with food quality. views of wheeler peak near windows are spectacular. hidden gem for the northern nm.
Delught full, fabulous food and ambiance. FANTASTIC waitress Billie. Will bd going back!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Our dinner at the renowned Angel Fire Country Club was an evening filled with unmet expectations, lackluster service, and underwhelming food. The visually stunning setting of the club, with its balcony overlooking the mountains and charming facility, was quickly overshadowed by the stifling indoor heat due to the lack of air conditioning. The understaffed restaurant led to extended wait times and delays throughout the evening, although our server Matt did his best to provide good service. The food, unfortunately, did not live up to expectations either. While the Water Chicken Gumbo was presented promptly, it lacked temperature and presentation, and the main courses like the Wagyu Skillet Skirt Steak and Texas Two Step were disappointingly flavorless and poorly cooked. The Atwater Chicken Fried Elk was a standout dish in terms of taste and temperature, but the dessert of Bread Pudding was an ice-cold disappointment. Despite the commendable efforts of some staff members, the issues we faced during our visit, such as understaffing and inconsistent food quality, need to be addressed by management. While the Angel Fire Country Club has the potential for a perfect dining experience with its beautiful location and facilities, our experience left us disappointed. For now, caution is advised when considering dining at the club, and we hope that management will take steps to improve the overall experience.
