We arrived in Vagator in the evening on our first night in India and wandered down the Vagator main road until we saw a restaurant with a few other customers. We decided to give it a try and ordered some Indian classics; egg biriyani, fish Goan curry, and garlic cheese naan. Everything was delicious and our server was very friendly. We enjoyed the food so much that we decided to return on our last night in Vagator. We were welcomed with a handshake by our host from the first night and this time we tried chicken from the tandoori and an amazing paneer masala. Although we were the only customers in the restaurant this time, the food was once again excellent. Thank you for the great food and hospitality!
Was recommended Diptys on our 1st night in Goa We had good Indian food cooked in the open kitchen in font of your eyes. Try the cauliflower pakoras they are fabulous. In 2 weeks in Goa we visited 3-4 times because we found it is one of the better eateries everything is fresh for you Also the hosts are very friendly and helpful. When Dipty the owner told me he hires scooters I took a look and on seeing all his scooters are newest model with less than 1000 km on the clock we took it for a week . Eat here if you like friendly atmosphere and very good Indian food
We ordered vegetable thalis with the assurance of fresh food. The sabjis in the thali had no taste, with artificial colors added to the paneer sabji. The rice was of inferior quality and overall, there was nothing good in the thali. It lacked flavor and we paid 150 rupees for it. The food was very basic, typical of a dhaba.
During our holiday in Vagator we ate a few times at Dipty’s and were very impressed with the quality food of the food and the service. Would certainly recommend.
