Grumpy Goat Tavern - Ankeny

This was my first visit to the Ankeny location. We went on a Saturday night at 6 and didn't have to wait at all. We tried the flight, which was enjoyable. The staff was friendly, although the service was a bit slow.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at this restaurant! I visited for brunch before a friend headed back home to Missouri, and we were delighted to find a one-man band playing. His music was a lovely touch that brightened up a rainy Sunday. They offered a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar (I can't remember the prices), and our waitress was incredibly attentive. The food was fantastic, making it tough to decide what to order since everything on the menu sounded so good. The Bloody Mary was out of this world! If you're in town, make sure to stop by!
