Blue Llama Jazz Club - Ann Arbor

This place is tremendous I lived in Ann Arbor years ago and have fond memories of clubs there, but nothing nearly as nice as this! I can not recommend it highly enough; the food was excellent, the ambiance spectacular. I'm not a jazz connisour by any means, but regardless of your musical tastes, this place is worth the visit. Make a reservation, do the dinner course, pair it with the wine flight, and get there early!! I went here 9/13 stumbling across the Gwenyth Hayes Quartet's performance. What an amazing venue! I felt like I stepped right into a scene from La La Land. The quartet was so good at setting the tone and I was grooving the whole time. I only got one drink and no food, but I'm sure it would've been delicious if I did. My server was quick and kind. Did the chef tasting menu with wine pairing. You are definitely paying for the experience rather than the food. The food was good but not amazing. The atmosphere is enchanting. The service was good and the food came out quickly but it seems they might be a bit short staffed so make sure to not wait on ordering drinks or it might be a minute before you get the chance again. Bottom line it's a grand experience and I will definitely be returning!
