Feedback gevenThe restaurant staff insisted that the hair I found in my food was just black pepper, despite the fact that the cook had black hair under her hat. This experience was very disappointing and unappetizing. I would not recommend eating here. They did not offer an apology or provide a replacement meal. I plan to file a complaint with the health department.
We had never visited PE before, and our experience was disappointing. I ordered the black pepper beef, but there wasn't much left, so the server had to scrape a significant amount from the bottom of the dish to give me a serving. Unfortunately, it didn't taste fresh—more like it had been collected from the bottom of a pan. The orange beef was overly sugary, and the fried rice lacked any flavor. We certainly won’t be in a hurry to return.
The restaurant was tidy, and the food was standard. I ordered a larger portion of chow mein (stir-fried tender noodles) with two servings of Orange Chicken (fried breaded chicken with an orange glaze), along with a side of Kung Pao Chicken (boneless, skinless meat with zucchini, peanuts, cayenne peppers, onions, and garlic).
While we were there, about six other customers entered just thirty minutes before closing and were equally disappointed by the absence of available dishes. If each of those customers had spent around $15, that could have amounted to nearly $100 in sales for the restaurant during those last half-hour minutes. The employees’ explanations were, “We are closing soon, so we’re not making any more food,” and “We don’t want to be here for two hours after closing.” I find these excuses unprofessional. Even as my boyfriend and I were finishing our meal just fifteen minutes before closing, another couple walked in, but one of the staff members was already mopping the floors. I know for a fact that’s a safety hazard. We really enjoy Panda Express, but we won’t be returning to this particular location again.
The food is consistently great, but I had a disappointing experience when I arrived just two and a half hours before closing. They informed me that they were out of certain items and wouldn’t be making more because they were prepping to close. I’ve been to other locations where they keep everything well-stocked right up until closing time, which is much more convenient for customers planning their dinners.
