Standouts were mussels, gazpacho soup, Dover sole and Scottish salmon. Excellent service from knowledgeable friendly staff. Great place for a nice night out. Kids are welcome and the place has a classy casual vibe.Vegetarian options: 2 or more good vegetarian mains and plenty of veggie appetizersKid-friendliness: Specific kid-friendly menu choices that come out fast!Parking: Parking lot can fill up at times, but there’s good street parking in the neighborhood, which does have a two-hour limit in many places
Brunch was lovely. The food was tasty, generously portioned, and artfully plated. We also had interesting craft beverages. On this Saturday afternoon, we nearly had the place to ourselves.Wheelchair accessibility: Call ahead to figure it out. It isn't obvious how it would work with a wheelchair.
As someone not from the US, the food in the US is generally dire. So when you come across a hidden gem such as this, it is to be commended. We came to Annapolis on a day-trip for DC and having been driving for a while we were ready for an (very ! early dinner. Perusing the internet Flamant seemed like it might be worth a try. So we arrive at this nice little place on the outskirts of town. On-site parking available and a nice simply decorated dining area. Good selection of wines, cocktails and mocktails. We sampled an array of dishes from the menu, all of them (with the exception of the moules frites were fresh, tasty, well presented and reasonable portion sizes. The only problem we had was the moules frites where the base used to cook the moules was too strong and smoky. In our opinion it should have been more traditional, a lighter sauce so that you could enjoy the taste of the moules themselves. Service was exceptional, very friendly and very helpful indeed with local area suggestions. Keep up the good work guys !
Pretty disappointed, don’t know if I’ll return. This is my first time eating at the new bistro concept and it really was a let down. The positive is undoubtably the food which was delicious. Everything else was a big disappointment and incredibly unprofessional. To start, we had a 7:45 pm reservation and were not seated until almost 9:00 pm. After sitting on a bench for almost 30 minutes, we were invited to sit at the bar for a drink. While sitting at the bar we are the told that many of the ingredients were not available for the craft cocktails. Additionally, several staff members loudly and an openly complained about the guests in the restaurant while waiting for drinks to be a be prepared. This was an uncomfortable experience. After finally being seated and waiting to place our order we were informed that 2 of ~10 dinner options were unavailable. Service was slow and passionless. I was never introduced to our sever and she seemed incredibly overworked and undervalued. The total bill was one of the most expensive meals we have had in the city (commensurate with Michelin starred restaurants) and nothing, including our cocktails that they offered us after a hour wait, were comped. For a restaurant that appears to thrive on its local patrons, they did not provide me with with an experience that makes me want to return.
My husband and I ate at Flamant for Valentine's day. Our server was Jackie who was PHENOMENAL.However, my husband got food poisoning and was up in the early hours of the morning puking. I messaged the restaurant about it and they didn't respond. My food was delicious and I am aware not much can be done at this point, but they didn't handle my complaint very well (or at all).
