Wild Country Seafood - Annapolis

Didn't actually eat here, but they could post online that they are basically a take-out spot with only 4 picnic tables, very minimal dead-end parking, and no waterfront view. Google maps made it seem like it was literally on the water and a full-serve restaurant. I may still come back and actually eat here one day, and I will update the review then! Food looks good online and plenty of people in line to order, so must be.

I was excited to try this place because I love little seafood shacks with simple fresh food. We went for dinner at 6 and they were just closing (Google says 7 but I guess they’re closing earlier now that summer is over). Luckily the man behind the counter was sweet and was happy to take our order even though they were about to close. They were out of fries so we got hush puppies. I was bummed because I really wanted fries but the hush puppies were good and usually I’m not a fan. We got the fried oysters and crab cakes. The oysters were fresh and tasty. Just a tad bit too much breading for me. The crab cakes were not our favorite. Surprisingly, the cole slaw was amazing. It’s usually an afterthought at seafood restaurants but here it has a great tangy flavor. Prices are very reasonable. We definitely want to go back and try some fried fish and their fries.Parking: Parking is tight. It looks like maybe only a few spots designated for the restaurant and they were taken. We found parking down the street.

While visiting we stopped for an oyster sub sandwich and grilled rockfish and they were excellent. As always. We got some steamed shrimp too that we really enjoyed as well. Great place.

What a treasure! Everything is fresh, very local and perfectly cooked. Not much more than a few picnic tables in a gravel lot and the kitchen inside, but it fills up fast for good reason. Call it a dive if you want but you've got to dive to find pearls. Keep up the great work everyone.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, curbs, etc.

This is an iconic spot that delivers up fresh seafood. There was no indoor seating but there are a few picnic tables outside. We ordered our food and ate it at the picnic tables which was sublime. The seafood was so fresh and well prepared and delicious. We are now fans and can't wait to return. Service was friendly; they appeared to do a significant carryout business. Highly recommended.
