Great place, lovely staff. By the end of our week here the guy knew what we wanted without having to ask. In a place so busy it’s nice to be recognised. Very easy going and very enjoyable.
This was an unscheduled stop as all other places had closed by 2 pm. What a great lunch it turned out to be. Recommendations: First the French fries were the real deal French fries : : Served hot and full of flavor. The poulet roti is one of the best I 've had in a while. Pretty much everything we ordered was good but the vegetarian gallette (which was a soft wrap with salad and feta was unbelievably so. Our server was really pleasant and efficient so we stayed here people watching for longer than planned. If you find yourself roaming in beautiful Annecy and you miss the lunch cutoff, I highly recommend Chez Appo.
Annecy can be a little on the pricey side; but, here everyone is friendly with good prices and friendly owners and employees. It is a great place to have a stop before and after your sight seeing.
I discovered this little Kebab place during my two-month stay in Annecy. The owners (Apo and his wife) were so friendly (and patient as my French is not so good), which was one of the contributing factors as to why my friends and I kept coming back to eat and drink there. My favourite items on the menu were the fries and the doner kebab in the pita bread with garlic sauce. So good with a few beers! The location of the restaurant is perfect for people-watching as it is on Rue Saint Claire, in the old town area. Also, if you like football, this is a good place to go watch matches on TV as Apo usually has one showing on the TV there.
