Besso - Anniviers

Good food in Zinal. Yes, there is more than Burger Fondue in Zinal. Of course also Besso carries the compulsory Burger craft beers for the younger alpinist crowd on its menu, but the rest is certainly worth the detour for the more gastronomic educated visitor. We had after good appetizers, a very nice tuna dish Mediterranean style CHF 41, a Thai beef tagliatta (sliced entrecôte) CHF 40, durum style pulled lamb filet CHF 36. On the sweets we recommend the crème brûlée with mango and coconut (coconut hardly noticeable) CHF 14. Add to this very affordable wines by the glass, a very nice Johannisberg at CHF 4.20 per dl, and as wine of the month an excellent red assemblage from Zufferey at CHF 7.50 per dl. Service by the chef staff is doing a solid job, but needs to deliver the extra attention speed to play with the best. Excellent price quality ratio. We will come back.

Wonderful cosy restaurant in the heart of Zinal. The food was delicious, very beautifully presented and the staff was very friendly. Everything was perfect. We would definitely go back.

Run by a great team of staff, really helpful and friendly. The food is great, location is second to none. The view of the mountain Besso at breakfast is picture post card!

We dropped in after a long journey up the mountain today for a hopeful meal. They worked us in for an amazing French inspired dinner . Food, drinks and service were outstanding . I highly recommend this cute little romantic spot to start your holiday .
