We had a fantastic experience on our first visit. I absolutely love plantains, and they were delicious here. The restaurant is small, but it's an ideal spot for takeout or delivery. I noticed some signs for Grubhub, which is convenient. Parking is on the street, but I was lucky enough to find a spot right outside the door. The downtown area of Ansonia is very walkable, and on a beautiful day, I can definitely see myself strolling around, shopping, and stopping here for lunch.

We absolutely loved the homemade beef and cheese empanadas! The woman at the counter was friendly, and the place was very clean. The potato balls had a meat filling that was a delightful surprise. Everything was well-seasoned without being overpowering. We also got a container of yellow rice and beans, and the rice was cooked perfectly, nicely mixed with black beans. I can't recommend the homemade empanadas enough—you won't be disappointed! Next, we plan to try the chicken or steak.

I ordered on grubhub, and the food was on time and delicious! Especially the potato ball was Delic next to the chicken emanadas. Very good and not too fat! Very good.

Have tried a few different Spanish restaurants in the West Haven , Bridgeport and Waterbury area. Stopped by Empanadas to grab lunch and it was by far the best Spanish food I have had. If you are looking for good fresh Spanish food made from scratch then this is the place to go. All the employees were friendly and out going . This will defiantly be my go to Spanish food restaurant even though it is 24 min from home. It is well worth the trip. It’s a must try you won’t be sorry.
