Rainbow Cafe - Antigua Guatemala

I went for a dinner the other night and gave a try to the tofu stir-fry. The rice and veggies were fine. The tofu was good. Unfortunately the cook ruined it by pourring half the bottle of hoisin sauce, which gave the whole plate a sticky candy sirup taste (excessively sweet and liquid) Wouldn't have been of that, it would have been good. I doubt the cooks ever tasted their own stir-fried. That's the only way they could have make that mistake.

A wide variety of vegetarian/vegan options, including nachos, falafel, soups, rice beans, garlic bread, etc. Prices are reasonable and about what you'd expect in a place like this. My kids loved the food so we ended up eating here a couple of times. A Westerners hangout in Antigua (for better or worse) with open-mike night, and regular musical acts starting around 8pm. Can be quite crowded on some of these nights. Centrally-located in Antigua.

We came here for breakfast 3 times, really fill out and a great price. 32 quetzal contains a coffee and fruit juice. not many specific vegan options, but easy to make swaps, we exchanged eggs for fresh fruits. some vegetarian options. lunch and dinner menu also looks good. beautiful yard to sit and nice personal updated by the previous review on 2021-07-25

Spacious place with many typical dresses, some of which are vegan or can I make vegan (e.g. cube eggs for avocado.) the meals are delicious and fill and the licuados are also delicious. the staff is very friendly and attentive, also with regard to Kovid-19 measures. in the rule they also have events, but these are exposed at the moment. however, the small load with chocolate, coffee, artesanias, used book. remains open.

Came a few times here, had good eating both times. it is always nice to find a place with good vegan options. the potato biscuit soup is amazing, but when I had the Tofu-guide-fry, I was a little disappointed. it was super sweet and could have used some lime or other aromes. Otherwise there are so many gluten-free options and I would definitely recommend more vegans.
