My favorite place to get ice cream! I just wish there was either a drive thru or they were open all year long! I miss not having a Blizzard when I want one LOL

We visited this restaurant for the first time to order a cake for my daughter's birthday. Usually, we frequent DQ in Round Lake. I ordered the cake and some Blizzards but did not receive a receipt as the girl placed it with the order slip. When I returned to pick up the cake, I requested the receipt and was told no. The younger employees present during both visits were unfriendly and seemed bothered to be working. The most disappointing aspect was the cake itself. It had a hard, white, buttercream frosting around the edges instead of the usual whipped cream frosting, which greatly impacted the flavor of the entire cake. We had the same cake from a different location a few days later, and it was much better. Overall, we found the taste of the cake and customer service to be unsatisfactory.

This Dairy Queen in a small town is a classic spot serving delicious ice cream sundaes and more. It's a true taste of Americana.

Jasmine is excellent at customer service, and this Dairy Queen is fortunate to have employees like her.
