That should say something about this place.I was having a hard time finding a bakery that would do dairy-free desserts for my daughter's preschool birthday party, as a few of her classmates have dairy allergies. This place was able to do it. Sugar cookies with coconut butter in them. I couldn't tell that they were dairy-free. Ironically, the birthday girl didn't like them, but all her classmates did. We also used this place for cookies at work. The cupcakes here are delectably moist and the cookies are also terrific. Classics such as snickerdoodle, peanut butter, chocolate chip, etc; and new ones such as cranberry coconut and Everything but the Kitchen Sink. I wish they had strawberry shortcake year round, but this place is still terrific.
Love this location for breakfast. Tesla had to stop by here to grab some sweets. I love their coffee everyone is super sweet. I highly suggest this local location. It's good to support local businesses.
After you try a few cupcake shops in the bay area, you will realize how lucky we are to have Rivertown sweets in Antioch. Rare for me to give my five star approval rating, but hands-down this is the best quality, best tasting and worth the money. Yes, 5 stars.
Ok so, I am a huggeeeeeee sweets fan! Anytime anyone comes into town to visit us, this is one the places we take them. It's not for sitting in, but rather taking out, but the treats are addictive! I've spent way more than I'd like to admit here and the sisters who own it are super accomodating. There have been several occasions where I've called and requested a treat and they happily baked a fresh batch just because I asked. This level of customer service is so hard to come by nowadays so when I see it, I feel obligated to highlight it! I usually get the plain smore's cookie (there's a version with oreos and reese's--that one's just too sweet for me), any cupcake with cream cheese frosting, and my husband is the living breathing cookie monster. We even hired them to do customized cupcakes for our son's bday party. Highly recommend!
Nice to find a bakery in the Antioch area as there's not that many around. It cute bakery and the people were nice. The cookies and cupcakes look very lovely and deliciously displayed. We got four different cupcakes as you cannot judge by just getting one, in my opinion. We got the Trio Cheesecake caramel filling, with vanilla butter cream, Truffle Chocolate Cake with oreo inside, Jalapeño Popper, and Kiss simple silk. My favorite was the Jalapeño Popper, it was different, I like the sweet and salty taste with a twist of spicy (not too spicy though . I liked that the Jalapeño wasn't too strong and didn't overtake the flavor. The Kiss and the Trio Cheesecake had a slightly dry cake and was not too fond of the icing. My niece loved her Truffle Oreo. The cupcakes were ok, nothing too special but I wouldn't say I'm not coming back. Next time might be better : .
