Gerry's Grill - Antipolo

Just been to this branch last night with friends. The food is not as good as shown in their menu and definitely not same as in their other branch (timog ave.). We ordered: "Tokwa't lechon kawali" (tokwa is ok but he pork is does not even looked like it has been fried. It smells and looks like boiled pork.) "Sinigang na hipon" (just warm and looks as if they just dropped the cold cooked vegetables before serving) "Sizzling sisig" (plate is not hot enough to cook the egg. The pork taste odd and not cooked well.) "Chopsuey" (just so so in taste and vegetables are swimming in the flour-tasting sauce.)The price is not worth the experience in dining there.The staff seems not well trained. I have to ask 3 times if they can please give us some water. I have to go to the bar to ask when can we have the Pepsi in can that we ordered. I was intentionally ignored while trying to ask where is the toilet.That night is not busy. Many vacant tables.The place looks nice from the outside but inside the furniture and things seems not well maintained and worn. Even the bill folder is sticky, scratched, bent, worn and torn.

The ambiance is roomy, with space for families, large groups, or singles. They have a great variety. The fried chicken was delicious. The grilled chicken shish kabobs have great flavor! The BBQ pork on a stick, is tender and marinated. They also have some great lumpia Shanghai and yummy chop suey. Oh, and don't forget to get the bottomless iced tea!

We wen to Gerry's, this was our first choice but instead went to another resto which disappointed us both, so it's true that you will never be disappointed with them..we ordered their shredded port adobo, pinakbet and their signature sisig! Bonus was their buko juice!..just contended !

We had the grilled liempo - succulent. god for 1 person = 2 pieces/slices, thinly cut; Beef Kare-kare - all time favorite; Chicken skin - killer but who can say no to crispy-fried chicken goodness?! Spicy Garlic fried chicken - so-so. I've tasted better. Nothing new, fascinating. Sizzling bangus sisig - yummy, healthy & flavorful! Kiddie meal - chicken & spaghetti's a sure-fire winner! we got their batchoy for our 3-year old boy. It was too salty that he didn't get to finish it. There was also a quite strong hint of ginger (luya). So the little one refused it after 2-3 times. We called the attention of the waiter, who turned out to be a trainee. The trainee didn't do anything. he didn't even apologize. Wow! what customer service! We've always liked dining at Gerry's Grill specially when we're a big crowd or there's a special occasion. It's a true crowd favorite/pleaser. But this one instance when they dodn't address our complaint mars their sterling reputation.

I like how the food taste in gerry's. Specially their baby pusit. Waiters are courteous, friendly although one waiter is forgetful. My daughter asked for water but he did not come back after, few more thinga happened that proved it. I should have given them a score of 5, if not for their restroom. It was quiet dirty, that I needed to go to starbucks bought hot choco and to pee before we travelled back to Manila.
