Happy Chef's Mango Grille - Antipolo

First time to eat here and just ordered tripe kare kare. Was supposed to order sinigang na ulo ng but it was overpriced. Their inihaw na pusit was overpriced too and when asked what the stuffing was, just the basic tomato and onions. No cheese. Sadness.Tripe Kare kare tasted okay but the tripe was too tough. Had to request for a steak knife to be able to cut through it. Oh well. The serving was supposedly good for pax but honestly, it was only good for There wasnt much veggies also. And it was drenched in sauce. Too much sauce.Ambience was nice and staff were quick and attentive.

Our go to place in Antipolo whenever we're craving for Filipino food. Their staff are courteous. The place is great for non smokers too since they have a separate dining area for smokers. We just wish that they have a bigger parking space. Tip: order pinakbet. Thank us later.

Happy Chef's Mango Grille ... the only thing happy here is the chef's name. The ribeye steak is as tender as a rubber slipper. The pancake was hard to cut, it was harder than the plate. The baby back ribs came after we asked for the bill.

"Not so lucky chef's mango grill" should be the name of this restaurant based on our first visit. At first I was very impressed with the interior design and the atmosphere of the place. The ambience is hip, cool and modern. Except for the furnishings and the smallest details, the place was obviously touched by a professional designer. The service was good enough too, contrary to the bad reviews I saw from FB. However, my scolding is for something else that is especially more important than the service itself: EAT. Liempo and java rice were ok, but not only was the rib eye steak over the top, it was way beyond the hype (imagine further microwaving an overcook steak) that it was a struggle. I would understand if you didn't state "Prepared to your liking - medium rare, medium good or well done" in the menu, and I specifically instructed "medium-rare" not just once but twice.
