Ting Kee Noedels Shop - Antwerp

I have a lot of memories of me as a high school dog with a 1.5 hour bus ride to Antwerp with my friends to eat here for lunch and then hang in the city. A little older I decided to eat here with my girlfriend. The place has not changed. A friendly welcome from the owners, the delicious smell of soup stock and small seats. It was as cozy and warm as I remembered. We ordered the quinces and duck noodles (with Udon), the braided beef belly meat with rice and the shrimps wan tan soup. We had a hot lemon tea for drinks. Prices for all main items vary by around 10 euros. I don't think you can get cheaper without compensating it qualitatively. The soup stock needed no salt or sugar, it was perfectly delicious and umami. Our squid was soft and well seasoned and the duck was good, maybe a bit dry but far from bad (be careful for the bones if you are not used on it). The beef dish was deep in taste, the meat was tender and the portions were sufficient (I am a large eater). The showtoffer was definitely the willing soup for me. A bit expensive, but I'd rather pay 1-2 euros extra for this soup than all other moderate wish-makers. These were homemade, well fed and so kingly filled. She doesn't sneak on the shrimps. Take care of the lemon tea, it becomes bitter if you enter the lemon slices too long. Do not forget to ask for sugar (if that is what you are). This mom and pop shop will always have a special place in my heart. It's not a Michelin Star Square, don't expect some imagination or complex. It is a place where you come for a simple and fast bite. It is a place that nourishes the soul.

Asian noodle soup serves generous portions of very tasteful broth with your choice of noodles and meat or fish. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Very recommended for a fixed meal.

One of the most authentic Chinese meals I had in Europe. I hope a train will come to Belgium to visit antwerpens chinatown again. both the seasoned duck with rice and garnel emptying soup were very good, and at 10 € each you can not beat them.
