Ban Thai - Ao Nang

We absolutely love the food and that they can customise the menu to fit both a non vegetarian and vegetarian diet.

Very good seafood and very nice family!! Papa and Mamma!! the crab with curry is delicius!! all food is very good!! and when you finished you ask Papa for hong tong!!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay in Krabi on one of our evening excursions, we decided to try Ban Thai as it was pretty much across the road from our hotel. Whilst the restaurant looks pretty basic outside, it has a varied menu and plenty to choose from. The staff seemed to be a bit apprehensive about speaking to diners, so the whole place lacked atmosphere and relied pretty much on the conversations going on around us. The starters weren't great spring rolls were very greasy and the chicken that made up my satay was poor quality with gristle and fat. The mains were nice, including a lovely piece of steamed sea bass, but for us they weren't a wow given the sheer number of eateries in the immediate vicinity and the one cocktail we had nearly removed our vocal cords they were that strong. All in all it was a nice dining experience, but we didn't go back.

We were looking for good thai food and we found this place still humming with people at 10 pm when most other places were empty. The food was great. Quick friendly service too. The chicken panang and fried morning glory both lovely and just spicy enough.

We were looking for a Thai restaurant without serving Western food and we found Ban Thai. The restaurant look simple and the menu is not very long with many dishes. That make the feeling of the authentic Thai cuisine. We wait quite long and the food came out excellent. Fish Bbq os fresh and so good. We also had squid in Thai paste. Papaya salad. rice. With beer and the bill is 560bath for 2 people. We love the meal
