Sushi Asuka Shinmachi Store - Aomori

Sushi was amazing and the service was fast. The surroundings are relaxing. I think the price is decent. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for Sushi. The menu has many options.

Came here after seeing the good reviews online! It 's hard to miss this place, being more attractive than the competitors. There 's English menu, and you place your orders on an iPad (Has English, Chinese and korean options). You can choose if you want wasabi or not. Definitely tourist friendly. Sat at the counter, and chef and staff were friendly to answer my questions to their best efforts. Had the 'Hakkoda ' set meal, which costs almost 2700 yen. Not cheap, but not very expensive either. Hotate and chutoro were the highlights! Ordered the grilled scallops which was quite unique, as you have to cook and mix the eggs yourself!! Paid a total of 3.5k yen for 1 pax. Quite pricey and not the best sushi, but good experience overall.

Best seafood place so far! The scallop was so fresh that you could really taste its sweetness. Other local foods were impressively fresh and cheap. With so many things we have ordered and a few glasses of beer, it cost only less than 8000 yen! Some of the food we just forgot to make pictures, but surely we have eaten a lot more than the photos below. What a good deal, right? Simply also for foreigners as they provide iPad for order. In any case, I would go back if I could make another trip to Aomori!

Beautiful Sushi Square, near Aomori Train Station along the shopping street. Staff are friendly and they can speak a bit English, and they have English menu for sushi.

Great sushi at reasonable price. Chefs are experienced and professional. Recommend the assorted sushi set.
