Feedback gevenFood was amazing. My mother had shrimp and grits and I had the seafood pasta. Both were beautifully prepared and presented. Service was slow, especially given the number of wait staff and how quiet the restaurant was, but the food was so great, it was easy to overlook.
We chose this restaurant for my mothers birthday. We were spending Easter weekend at st George island and chose our restaurants from tripadvisor reviews. This restaurant was truly fabulous. The chef is incredible every appetizer, main course, salad and dessert was sooo good. A great find for foodies like us highly recommend!
This restaurant offers fresh, imaginative takes on new Southern coastal cuisine, emphasizing a farm-to-table approach with locally sourced ingredients at their finest. Our entire group, spanning from teenagers to seasoned food enthusiasts, thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and the overall experience. Highlights included a vibrant watermelon salad drizzled with balsamic, succulent shrimp bathed in a zesty fresh tomato and garlic sauce served with grits, and an outstanding key lime pie, among many other delicious dishes shared by our party of 11. While the wine list is somewhat limited, it excels in both quality and value. The service was warm and attentive, set against the backdrop of a charming dining room in a classic old Southern inn. A drive to experience the hospitality and culinary excellence of Chef Ira and his team is definitely worthwhile.
The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. My husband and I were in need of a weekend getaway and had previously stayed at the Gibson Inn during our last visit to Apalachicola. This meal was exactly what we needed—relaxing, laid-back, and absolutely fantastic!
The salads were excellent. The duck entrée was superb, accompanied by well-prepared potatoes and asparagus, although the duck skin crisps could have used a bit more seasoning. The grilled grouper and shrimp combo was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The house-made key lime pie was outstanding, striking the right balance of tartness. While the wine list isn't very extensive, it is well-curated and reflects thoughtful selection and good taste.
