Tamara's Cafe - Apalachicola

Unfortunately, I am disappointed to share that the restaurant has closed down. I heard that the owner is now operating a food truck in a permanent location. I have been coming to this restaurant for years and was looking forward to our next meal here this weekend.

We had a pleasant experience at this charming corner restaurant, at least until our food was brought out by a runner instead of our waitress. Unfortunately, our waitress never returned to see if we needed anything else, such as more water or another drink. It wasn't until we were finished and ready for the check that someone finally came to our table, but it was the food runner and not our waitress. My spouse ordered the grouper, which was nothing special. I opted for the tabasco-marinated grouper with chorizo mac and cheese.

We have dined at this restaurant multiple times and it used to be good. However, the dinner we had a few years ago was disappointing. Last week, I tried their evening dinner again and it was another bad experience. I recommend others to save their money and try another restaurant. We will not be returning.

Had a lot of raw bars between port st joe and apalachicola and needed something else. tamaras was recommended by some people we met while we spent a few months down here. for lunch, nice atmosphere, great service and we had a delicious philly sandwich with home made chips. it was just a pleasant change of fish and seafood that most places in the opposite empathize.

Service was good. Food was tasty, but for not being too busy it was delivered warm, not hot. My soup was Luke warm at best. I would certainly give them another try as flavors were good
