Overland Meat Company - Apple Valley

Took my family for lunch August 13 2024 and I been hearing all the bad things, lemme tell you what. My family had a good time, we were treated with respect and the gentleman working the counter were incredibly kind. I even grabbed some steaks for me and the wife. Been coming here since I was a kid and it never disappoints. Thanks for being my go to spot for a random Tuesday.

Meat is good quality but their customer service kills it for this business! We have been ordering meat packs for about 8 months now and they tell you when you can pick up the order which is usually 5 days later. We 'll the last 3 times we have driven from South Hesperia to Apple Valley on the day they told us it would be ready, just to get there and have the jerk in the meat dept tell us, oh I was going to call you today and tell you it won 't be ready until tomorrow. When I complained this time the guy was a super jerk. Well if I knew in advance it wouldn 't be ready, I would have called you. Last time we were missing some items from the package and the guy starting arguing with me on the phone and called me a liar. Like I said the meat is quality as long as you can put up with the attitude and constant order mishaps. But I think this is the last time we will be ordering.

I do want to warn you that yes this place is expensive. However, it is worth the price! I bought half a pound of their bacon and it smelled and tasted like nothing you have ever had before. It was lean and had little grease. Normally with bacon it is super greasy. This one wasn’t. Perfect for a blt. I also got a roast and the flavor was completely different than anything I have had before. I literally went back the next day for four more pounds of bacon and some lunch meat. I highly recommend this place. If you want fresh meats that are better for you this small butcher is the place to go. The beef jerky they have is also really good.
