The Tavern Grill - Apple Valley

My husband and I have eaten here a handful of times over the past two years and it has consistently gone downhill. The most recent visit was on a Sunday evening. We sat at the bar and waited. The bartender did not greet us, he was too busy giving his attention to an attractive female across the bar from us. Recommended by a friend. We had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and the bourbon bbq sauce is excellent as well as the Reuben sandwich. The food was pretty good and the service was too. I was asked if I was a member? I said no and no other explanation was given as to what it meant. Upon leaving we had extra food to take home and a gentleman boxed it for us. Very nice touch.

We visited for lunch on a Saturday and were greeted by friendly staff who seated us immediately. The restaurant wasn't overly busy, but the service was a bit on the slower side. I ordered the Chicken Skewers, while my husband chose the Fish and Chips. The fish was slightly over-fried and dark, but the chicken was enjoyable—fire-grilled and flavorful without being too salty. Overall, I would recommend this place. The portions were generous, the atmosphere was pleasant, and I'd be open to returning if we're in the area again. Although it was too chilly to sit outside, they do have a lovely outdoor space.

I was truly impressed with this restaurant! We started with the calamari as an appetizer, and it was abundant and delicious. For the main course, we each created our own burgers. There was an incredible variety of sauces and toppings to choose from, allowing for endless combinations. The flavors were fantastic, and the burgers were cooked to perfection—medium rare was spot on. I also loved the mashed potatoes. We will definitely return, and I've already recommended it to friends!

We dined there for a birthday celebration, and the food was fantastic! I ordered the Reuben and shared it with someone who had the French Dip. Our server, Zach, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere during lunch was delightful. I've never been for dinner, but my nephew mentioned that the interior felt a bit like a castle, thanks to the beautiful chandeliers and decor. Normally, I don’t leave any food behind, but at the Tavern, the portions were generous and delicious. I even took some leftovers home!
