The Old Boy Cafe - APPLECROSS

This charming café is tucked away behind a small shopping area in Applecross. The caramel dessert was absolutely delicious! However, the cloby monky shake was a bit disappointing as it lacked chocolate flavor. Overall, a very nice experience and I would definitely visit again.

Next to big jaffles and coffee, this dog-friendly caffe also has delicious cakes. parking is right in front of the door, and there are outdoor seating for those who accompanied by their dog friend. the prices are good, and the personal is friendly and professional.

Starting coming to The Old Boy a few months ago. The staff are super friendly and the coffee is consistently amazing always smooth and strong. The jaffles are delicious and there's no skimping on the fillings. A great local cafe.

Heard of the Slow Food movement? These guys seem to be trying to start a Slow Coffee experience. It took 20 minutes for the two takeaway cuppas to arrive despite being one of three patrons in the cafe. The girl serving told us the computerised...till was broken so it is possible that, being from the ipad generation, a hand-written note to the ‘barista’ was a twenty minute exercise. Regardless, the tepid outcome was unfortunately not nearly worth the wait (unless coffee-flavoured hot water is your preferred tipple) so the resulting beverage ended up in the bin. At least the customers got some entertainment during their wait for coffee as the staff’s continuous discussions of their favourite music and films echoed around an atmosphere-free venue. The cafe looks the business for a backstreet hideaway but i would fear for its future if it continues to offer the kind of care-free mediocrity that we experienced today.

I have never had a coffee with no saucers just the cup really bizarre asked them if they forgot they told me they don't do Way to trendy or maybe lazy as less washing has to be done Anyway won't be going back heaps of...better places in Applecross
