Feedback gevenI think this is my second favorite farmer market in the city. the people are all so friendly and welcoming. they have a large selection of fruit and vegetables as well as brote and vegan crows and many other options.
This is one of the best farmers market in the region santa cruz. it is more open rain or shine and they can always count on getting large local organic products, directly from the farmers who grow the food. according to their website, 2011, 2012 and 2013, our construction markets were voted for “America’s favorite farmers market in California”. in addition, coastal living magazine named the aptos farmers market one of the “The best farmers markets of the coast.” besides fruit and vegetables, the prepared food is available with many veg*n choices as well as flowers and plants. the big morgani, a local akkordeonist, who dresses up in elaborate costumes, often plays a bluegrass band, which is a hit for the small children who play with small sweet shakes. my favorite provider is route one farms. their prizes are the best and I love seeing the same people who work there every week. other picks are pinnacles (but they look for bugs on the broccoli and flower cabbage I don't really buy those of them after I find mistakes too often) previdelli farm has big apples. I often get her not so pretty apples for $1 a bit, a bargain for organic apples in this opposite. there are many others I like too.
(Note: "Musubi" is a Hawaiian dish consisting of a block of rice topped with something, often wrapped in nori seaweed. Vegan musubi would exclude animal products like meat or fish.)
In my opinion, this is the second best farmer's market in town. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offer a wide variety of fruits, veggies, breads, vegan crepes, and many other options.
I recently visited a restaurant that offers vegan Musubi options called Zen Musubi. It was fantastic.
