Waffle House - Arabi

Waffle House in Arabi has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I sat there for 20 minutes while the waitstaff joked and laughed, completely ignoring me and never taking my order. When I finally got up to leave, a woman who appeared to be a manager or supervisor asked if anyone had waited on me. I told her no and that I would be taking my business elsewhere. She suggested that I should learn to speak up, to which I replied that my parents raised me to be polite. I made several signals indicating that I needed assistance, but none of the staff paid attention—only the cook seemed to be working hard. As I was leaving, she seemed to be the only one who cared about the situation. I run a business and employ 20 people who are all trained to be friendly and attentive to customers. This restaurant definitely needs a complete overhaul! I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

The food was delicious, but we requested to have our takeout order held until we finished our meal, and unfortunately, it was brought out at the same time as our food. Additionally, we asked for our check, and the server left without returning until management had to intervene and fetch it for us. On a positive note, the management was very friendly and welcoming.

This Waffle House never answers the phone for takeout orders. I called again this morning and got the usual recording. I drove over there, and surprisingly, there weren’t even any customers inside. So, can someone explain why they can't pick up the phone?

When we arrived, the only chef was crossing the street to Rally's. He saw us but just kept walking. Once we went inside, there was one employee who was sitting on his phone. He was aware of my presence; I tried to get his attention by coughing and saying "excuse me," but he didn't bother to look up. Frustrated, we decided to leave, and as I drove away, I noticed him looking at me through the window. We ended up going to a different restaurant.

Jerome was fantastic! He was a very polite and attentive young man. I would definitely go back!
