Curtea Veche - Arad

Big variety of dishes to chose from. Low quality products used . Unprofessional serving. To visit if not to sensitive. Not much to say .. you can see that the restaurant came out from a good ideea but not so great results

Read a few reviews on here and bit negative so thought I'd see for myself. I had a nice meal. Staff friendly. Menu in English and with pics. I know that's silly but it helps. I'd definitely go back. Also inside was very nice deco

Table of 3. We ordered: grilled salmon with wild rice and a mixed grill platter for 2. The salmon was dry, overcooked and the wild rice was watery and tasteless. Maybe it tasted like cardboard. The mixed grill was 70% inedible - overcooked and dark pieces of grilled meat, very stiff and bland.Nothing was seasoned well. Maybe the baked potatoes were close to OK. Only the cheese sausages and the pastrami were OK (maybe because they were bought from supermarket and not produced in house). They gave us a "aioli sauce" with no garlic in it :)) The waitress explained that "their aioli" has no garlic but mayo and ketchup. Well... that was a sweet-sour cocktail sauce suitable for shrimps, not for grilled meat. In these conditions we took most of the leftovers for our dogs. Everything is overpriced and the quality is very low. Inedible is the word that defines their food.

I was taken there by friends who wanted me to experience Romanian cuisine and all 3 of us were delighted with our meals. I had grilled pork with a lovely salad, one friend had fish and the other a salad. Portions were substantial and service was good.

Good food on a medieval styled restaurant. Good location in the center. They have a terasse on the main street from Arad.
