We stayed today at lunch, and I can confirm that we ate very well, but as in all things it would be the case that each of the components should do its task in all its facets, the room was very well maintained and furnished is with a great Christmas taste. The thing that left us very much with the bitter in the mouth was the attitude of the staff, the cold and detached way even sometimes nn responded to you or it was not done as required above all by the lady to the coffee machine, at the beginning of the lunch while I went to wash my hands in the hallway I stopped because I noticed that behind me there was a nice waitresss with plates in hand and I stopped to let her pass. We preferred to cancel the lunch for the next day than to return in a poor context towards customers.

Very nice location, overlooking a small waterfall surrounded by greenery, a few steps from the beautiful Sanctuary of the Maria delle Grazie that compensates for the experience of lunch absolutely not to be repeated. To honor the truth, the restaurant (unused hotel) is neat and clean with very kind and efficient staff, while I can not say just the owner, cold and very nervous, despite having booked, we were greeted very badly, denying the reservation as well. The price is equivalent to the scarcity and quality of food, “all smoke and nothing roasted”, dishes from the content to satisfy more the view than the palate. classic restaurant for passing tourists. I will return to Ardesio since we took the residence less than 10 km, but only for a more careful visit to the sanctuary

Taking note of the strange absence of hotels open on weekdays in the municipality in which we would go, we booked in this historic building totally remitted to new with materials and finishes aesthetically and technologically valuable but of modest quality. The bathroom is as prestigious as the room, although in my specific case the absence of the door to close the shower box forced me to flood everywhere. The system of opening and activation of the plants through card, although it has become the standard almost everywhere, is inadequate to prevent the forgetfulness of the same card and the consequence of being closed out. In a 2/3-storey hotel it can also work, but this has 4 and maybe you could find a different system. For the rest the mattress in my opinion is very comfortable and ensures sleeps difficult to interrupt. In the absence of other real restaurants at walking distance, even the dinner we consumed it there. Risotto very original with authentic gall ridges (not the fungus of the same name, just the top part of the slope), but too hard to digest also for a toothing and a strong stomach like mine. Making an average between the room (5 despite the slight defects) and the dinner (3 poor) a very good seems generous.
