Extremely yummy and value for money. Had the lunch special set small serve of beef vindaloo (any meat curry of your choice), small rice, 2 small pcs of nan, 2 papadum and 1 coke for $12! Everything was just nice. Will be back for more soon!
The goat curry was very good. I enjoyed how rich the sauce was. There also seemed to be a fairly generous amount of goat. I was very full afterwards. One recommendation is to use a bit less salt, it was too salty. That is coming from someone who adds too much salt to their food. It may however just been an isolated accident.
We have been buying from Samrat for many years and are regular customers. The food is authentic and delicious and the best Indian food we have had south of the river. Samrat is well priced and I love the fact we can choose spice level of either mild, medium or hot to customise to our individual tastes.
*edited: Been here the 2nd time within months... service food standard still as good as when we were first here. Brought family members visiting from Singapore to here they found the food enjoyable. Tried due to reviews being available in Groupon. We are definitely NOT disappointed! Amazing taste to us it tasted really authentic as Indian food. It is nicely snug at a corner, next to Utopia. It is quite spacious with lots of seatings. No worries for large groups families. Service is good attentive. If I must state a flaw... then I must say it is not overly economical. But hey... nothing is perfect.
