Guajira Bodega Cubana - Arecibo

The most pleasant surprise of the day, Guajira Bodega Cubana. We fell in love with this place, the atmosphere and the staff. The music was 50s and the crowd was lively. I loved the bookshelves full of cool books. The crowd was like family and a big celebration together. I highly recommend it.

I say, I would definitely come back, but I would make a few things different. 1. Food Our Entreés were really good! Taste, texture, preparation, presentation, taste again... they were a lot to our pleasure. I ordered the Ropa Vieja shredded beef with Arroz Congri Cuban Rice and the woman ordered the Churrasco Rock Steak with Mofongo de Plátano ...a popular Maische Plantain page . Portions were large, the prices were reasonable. We ordered the same appetizers for the children not a children's menu Montaditas de Pollo roasted plantain patents with sauteéd chicken strips and they loved them. Appetizers are marked as tapas in the menu, but the portions are large for tapas, in my opinion, but it is reflected in the price. The only appetizer I don't enjoy was the octopus. It was properly cooked, but the taste was not there... I probably won't order the octopus in the future 2. Location is beautiful. It has a plentiful open air area, pleasantly shaded by trees alnost throughout. It also has interiors with the most beautiful view of the Río Grande de Arecibo a landmark river and a recreation area. The decoration is rustic with several exhibitions of art paintings, paintings etc. and of course a stage. Everything very welcoming for nightlife. If the food hadn't been good, I would give it two thumbs for the big vibes. Now, back to him to be next to the river... the pesky sand gnats/mini mosquitoes los májenes will be a problem in twilight. If you come like me in the dusk, wear long pants and closed shoes. Back to the good vibes, it was sad to leave at 19:30 on a Friday, as they set up the stage for live music, but man, I would go back alone! The waitress said it was F Sa Su adter 9pm F Sa, 5pm on Su. 3. The waiter service was pleasant and efficient, but it was mostly absent. She seemed to be the only one that's tonight, so I'll tell you. Next time I sit at the bar. But not biggie. I really think that was just a way out. Bottom line: It is a good place to visit in Arecibo and I am happy to eat here again in the future.

Very nice place, great ambiance, definitely go on poetry nights the people that come here rock the stage and your core.

Exquisite food and Drinks. Nice place. Very very noce the music. My husband and I went to eat Churrasco and Tostones with ropa vieja and it was delicious. Noce prices too. We like the place.
