The soup was fantastic, I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to returning to try their Full Breakfast as well. The waitress was also very friendly. Overall, a great experience at Humbles.
Customer service was good that is why a 2 was given. Coffee was poor, weak and cold. Food was disappointing. Cold baguette with huge chunks of cheese. Salad undressed with tasteless tomatoes . Crossaints were overcooked and so was the bacon. We explained to the waitress that our daughter was coeliac. Although they didnt cater for coeliacs or people with food allergies. We felt confident that we had choosen a safe GF meal. However our daughter was ill after this meal. So the cook must of cross containmiated the meals and some gluten was present.
Enjoyed our visit nice food and coffee. Friendly staff would return.and recommend to others to come here
Visited yesterday 15th July. We felt like 2nd class citizens as some locals came in after us and were served before us. We also noticed that locals received their tea in posh China cups and visitors received very plain white cups. It was apparent that locals were more valued than any others. Also expensive for what we had. We will not be visiting this cafe again.
This is a very small establishment with tables very close to each other. We were very quickly given menus but it was another 15 minutes before our order was taken. We ordered soup and a toastie and a baguette. After nearly half an hour I was ready to leave when our food just arrived. The soup was lovely but everything else was just acceptable. Our pot of tea for two would have been for one anywhere else. Give this place a miss especially if you don't want to waste your time sitting around waiting for service.
