So it was and we realized that more than being a tavern it looks like a private home that prepares food before dinner while awaiting the arrival of guests. Of course, it's not quite like that, but it's such a small place that it doesn't have a kitchen suitable for freshly prepared food and consequently what is prepared is kept warm in a sort of diner where customers then choose what they like by listening to the description of the cook. Obviously there isn't a vast choice, nor a menu, let alone prices. The service is very courteous and at the end of the meal we were offered Rakí and a Greek yoghurt.
It's not a restaurant, it's not a tavern, it's an experience. Like going to the house of the lady who runs this place for dinner. There is no menu, neither on paper nor by word of mouth. So there are no prices. From what I understand from the final bill, the saganaki cheese 5 eur, the dolmadakia 8 eur, stewed sausage 9 eur. To understand what to eat, you have to enter and choose from the dishes already prepared and displayed behind glass, canteen style, which will then simply be heated and served. Mostly veggies and meat, almost nothing expresso, except the salad and fried cheese. At the end of the meal, customers are offered a complimentary yogurt with black cherry jam and liqueur (on request). The alley where the outdoor tables are located is very characteristic and makes you want to stop.
The enthusiasm of some reviews is incomprehensible. A real bad place, where you eat food cooked hours before and served drowned in incomparable cooking sauces. The tables are sloping, so you eat crooked but there is the advantage that the oily condiments settle at the bottom of the plate. Lazy service. It's also expensive for what it offers. Such delicious food and great value for money! Very nice hosts! You sit in the middle of the sweet little alley and every evening you can't wait to see what's delicious! There is no menu for daily changing Greek home cooking! Even as a vegetarian, I found something for me every day! Vegetarian options: Always something that tastes good Service: Dine in
One of the coolest food experiences I've had. There is no menu in paper form, but they cook new food every day! The feeling was like coming home to a Sunday dinner at grandma's. Can highly recommend this place their nice staff! 5/5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
