Ben's Chili Bowl - Arlington

The chili rice bowl was not what I was looking for. It was a traditional chili covering a bed of white rice. The only downside was that there was no hot sauce to spice it up, but to be fair, I didn't ask for any. The service was quick and friendly, and the tables and areas were clean. If you're tired of feeling like you're in a crowded fast food restaurant, stop by Ben's.

I have been to Ben's Chili Bowl many times, but my most recent visit will be my last. I first tried it at their original location, and I have to say, the food is mediocre. The half smoke was not juicy, the chili lacked flavor, and the fries were bland. I recommend trying food from somewhere else. I have lived in the DMV my whole life, and this food does not represent Washington at all.

Although a bit untidy, the spicy chili dog and small turkey chili we tried were absolutely delicious and served steaming hot. It's definitely a great option when you're waiting for a flight at DCA.

The burger and fries were good, but a bit pricey to be honest. Service was not the greatest. Tables and seats were sticky and the fountain soda machine had flat sodas and no ice.

Went there for breakfast, food was not good. Bad coffee served in a Costco cup. Grits tasted stale. This is not DC, or soul food. The guy at the register had a really bad attitude as well
