Gilligans J Bar Grill - Arlington

The food was decent, but the service was lacking. It seems they were understaffed as no servers came to our table after taking our initial order. We didn't receive the drinks we ordered, and the place was busy but short-staffed. A large tip was added to the bill without explanation, which was higher than the typical 18-20% tip. While I believe in tipping, I expect better service and transparency in explaining the added gratuity on the bill.

Great place to HAVE A ROUND TRIP RIDE TO THE DALLAS GAME.. I mean, they have it down to a scientific rotation! Minimal wait. LOAD up and go! Streaming lights. GREEN LIGHT! GO!

This wasca terrific place. We went before the Cotton Bowl, ride their trolly to the game, and came back after. Such a fun time!

Food isn’t great but drinks are pretty cheap. Lots of tvs and seating to watch games. The last time I was there I had a bad experience. It was near the closing time and there was this extremely rude worker with dreads trying to kick people out 10 mins before 2 am. I’ve never been at a bar that didn’t allow people to finish their drinks after closing their tabs. It’s bad for business to be doing that especially when you’re in a college neighborhood/ dallas cowboys stadium area.

J Gilligan's is a staple in Arlington. Great dive bar with a large variety of food. Live music occasionally. I can walk in during lunchtime, place a to-go order, and walk out within 5-10 minutes.
