I have eaten here for about 10 years (or since they opened long ago). The soup is the best among all hotpot restaurants. But they recently ‘upgraded’ the menu. The price has gone way up for combos and the portion has shrunk to a ridiculously small size. I ordered a boneless short rib combo, there were only 13 thin little 1x2 inch rectangles. They used to give you sesame sauce as part of the combo. Now they only give you soy sauce. Sesame sauce, scallion, garlic etc are extra at $1.5-$2 each. The ‘upgrade’ must be why it was not busy at all. Before the upgrade, it could be an hour wait on Sat nights. The soup base is still good. But it has gotten so expensive that I’m not going again.

I was blown away by this gem tucked away in an unassuming, no-nonsense storefront on Mass Ave in Arlington. The broth was spectacular, the ingredients fresh and plentiful, and the staff welcoming and accommodating. You'll have to ask for sauces if they're not explicitly on the menu (I'm partial to hoisin sauce), but they will happily comply with your wishes. I feel SO LUCKY this place is right down the street from me! Service: Dine in
